Not all family relationships are equal. For one person it could be better to promote SFI and for another not so good. You've heard it said that familiarity breeds contempt. Your family - those closest to you are really good for that. They are often the most equipped to hurl criticisms in your direction and they always know what buttons to push to get you upset. If my family grew in numbers, formed their own nations they would become nations at war.
In my case it would be better to promote SFI to friends and strangers. Not to the exclusion of family. Just not better. You will have to approach each individual based your experience and perception of the individuals you approach. For example I wouldn't promote to an individual that looked like they fell into a fishing tackle box or is wearing saggy pants.
There is no wrong or right answer for one of these being better for promoting SFI. . What it boils down to is for each SFI Affiliate to decide which is better based on his/her experience, perception and circumstances.
