When promoting SFI opportunity to family or friends or to strangers, you need to consider the following points:
- Are they looking for home based business? You can mention to your friends and family about SFI or approach a stranger and hand in a TC X-Cards. Note on their reaction. Are they interested or repulsive?
- How you approach matters. There are good and bad ways to approach friends and family or stranger about SFI. You could say: It’s not a pyramid scheme; you will be able to quit your job in X months or you will never get an opportunity like this. You could say these things to turn them off and won’t even bother looking into your home based opportunity. Avoid using industry clichés and meaningless on-liners. Actually your family and friends want to know how you’re doing with SFI because they care about your well-being. Real friends will show a natural interest in what you do in life.
- Don’t make the mistake of pushing them (family, friends or strangers) to join something that doesn’t suit them; even when you’re offering them a no-brainer. Some people are business-minded while others just aren’t.
- Do you tend to hype up in your promotion? Saying things like: My SFI business does something that has never done before, my SFI business offers huge “bonuses” and no other company does that, SFI is better than company X. It’s not about “your company”, it’s “your business, so this business is about “you”- will not for sure benefit your SFI business when dealing with friends, family or strangers. Just present the facts about SFI.
- Just be yourself in your presentation. Making them believe that you have a “better” solution than their job: people can feel offended if they like their job; if you like what you do and you get paid for it… a job really isn’t that “bad”. You should honestly tell them that you are doing something else and let them make up their own mind about it then.
- Don’t present unrealistic expectations about SFI. Don’t forget that the goal is not to make money fast, but to create relationships. So if you’re already trying to make a quick buck by promising family and friends some baloney nonsense, you will find it even harder to promote your home based business opportunity to other people. The biggest mistake you can make is to start begging for them to join you.
If you keep the following points in mind in promoting SFI before your friends, family or strangers, you don’t have to worry about which is better to approach.
