I would say that's not an easy task, at all. Sending mails, messages, e-cards, and reminding them that somebody's still successfully doing the job they gave up, should arise their curiosity. So sending some proofs, evidences about your own achievements, should be recomended. It's up to you to try, and be assertive, polite and reasonable in your efforts.
