I would say that both these should be used. They can work together and complement each other. In fact more than 1 blog would be even better. You could have a blog about an interest of yours which could be linked via the content in some way to SFI or TripleClicks with ads on it for SFI and TripleClicks, and also directing readers to your website. Then you could have a 2nd blog specifically about SFI or TripleClicks.
Your blogs should be updated about 3 times per week. The blog is where you build relationships with your readers and gain their trust. They may not respond to your ads the first few times they read your articles, that is why it is necessary to keep it updated. Post on Facebook when there is a new post they may be interested in reading.
Your website is more static with articles about different aspects of SFI and TripleClicks and perhaps other businesses you may be involved in as well as articles relating to earning an income at home or online. There should be links from your website to your blog and to your squeeze pages.
