Successful advertising can do two things: establishe your SFI business/products in the consumer’s mind and it encourages consumers to take action to buy from you.
So, how do you successfully advertise on Facebook and other social media?
As you are aware, when you post something through social media people who like/friend/follow you will see it on their feeds. So the more you post, the more they see. However, there is no need to flood their feeds; too many messages can irritate people or be considered no different than spam. It seems from looking at what other companies are doing, 2-3 post per day is a good number. As an example, look at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Flordia USA - there are at most 3 post going out per day on their social media sites. Check out other organizations too and use their frequency of posting as your guide for your SFI business.
Another important consideration is the timing of social media postings. Your postings will depend on your target audience - what works for their schedule. In general, when looking at other companies, early morning and early evening are ideal. Most people leave for work just after 8:30 and get back after 5 pm; therefore,posting around 8 and 5:30 would show up for these people when they check their social media accounts before and after work.
Now, encouraging action to be taken through social media postings can be more difficult. Using "eye catchers" such as coupons and special offers are a good way to encourage action. People often do look for deals and social media is a great way to get the word out quickly.
No matter which social media platform/s you use to advertise your SFI business and/or products you simply need to remember: sent out notices/postings on a regular basis but not to flood or spam, consider the timing of your postings to fit the target audience you want to benefit from your advertisement and try to include an incentive to have prospective customers to act upon what you advertise.
