If you wish to advertise on Facebook you are going to have to cloak your links as many of the SFI gateways are banned by Facebook because they have been used on there so much.
Personally I would set up a fan-page on Facebook to try and get as many people as I could to like it. By constantly updating the page you will keep people interested in it and have a good possibility of gaining more prospects as your friends tell their friends about your page.
I also send out tweets on twitter quite often although probably not often enough. There are many other social media sites where you can put the word out about SFI.
As with all advertising it really is a numbers game. The more people you tell about your business, the more you will get joining your downline.
