Well, the easiest way to attract an audience is to speak to that audience--I'm not talking just about approaching them and talking to them, but rather building a rapport, talking with them, and finding the ways that SFI will fit with what they're doing in their lives. Chances are, you're not going to find them spending time on "Free for all" links pages or other internet classifieds. Most of them are out *doing* things related to their interests, so you have to show them how SFI can relate to those interests and help them with their goals.
For example, many of my younger friends are crafters of one sort or another, and after getting them interested in selling on TripleClicks, the next step is showing them how to drive traffic to their store--that's when I can show them SFI and its Internet Income lessons. In my case, as a game designer, I started getting interested in SFI from a "gamelike" perspective, how scoring VersaPoints can be fun, and how to proceed from there. Also, as someone who used to suffer from social anxiety problems, I'm using the distribution of Gift Cards to help me connect with more and more people while building PRMs.
The advantage of working with students is that most of them are busy imagining their future, and as you can show them that over the same four years that they're able to build a network of friends who will earn them a steady flow of cash, their lives can become easier and easier, they will become more and more interested in joining SFI.
