How can you be an SFI Team Leader if you're not a born leader?
Leaders are not born, they’re developed. Everyone is unique. And because you are so unique, you can develop those special talents and abilities you have to fulfill your purpose and destiny and become the leader you were meant to be.
In SFI we are all given equal chance to be one, by making it easy for us to achieve the first rank of leadership- that of becoming Executive Affiliate.
The title itself is telling us we’ve got leadership potential!
Once you become an Executive Affiliate, prepare to develop yourself as a team leader for you will soon become one. SFI even provides us with our own Leadership Page to fill in for our team’s benefit- which starts with greeting, rewards and incentives, recognition, recommendations and best tips.
So begin at once. Make a list; put priorities in order; and do the list.
. Set goals and strategy, including short and long range planning. Make a list of your goals- think in the areas of being, doing, owning and accomplishing. Rearrange your goals in order of priority, select the goals you want first, set a target date, be realistic and make your goals attainable.
. Be organised- this concerns team members and structure. How do you want your team to look: wide or deep? When to use the reassignment tool, and how to maximize your limited resources when just starting to build a team
. Implementation – the day-to-day execution of plans. This means you need to log in daily, earn your daily VPs and leading the way in all aspects of building your SFI business.
. Persistence, sustained staying power. Leaders don’t quit at the first sign of obstacles. You continue no matter what. Persistence or staying power is the quality that sets the leader apart. A good leader is like a postage stamp that sticks to the letter until it gets there, so the leader never gives up.
Leaders care for their team. A leader shows genuine love, care and concern for those they lead. You become successful by helping others become successful.
