There isn't just one specific text ad I could make reference to and say "this is the one". No single one has really stood out in terms as best performing for me. What I can say is that the text ads that seem to work are the ones which have the following components:
1. It addresses a concern - SFI has some good ones which state "Worried about Money" or "Wipe out your Debt".
2. Adds value for the reader - Let the reader know of some benefit they will receive from your offer such as "100% free" or "Add a second paycheck". Studies have shown that text adds with a numeric component in some instances had a better result.
3. Call to action - This can be stated in the form of " Join Today", "Click Here", Start Here" and so on.
Text ads are generally concise and attention-grabbing. The aim is to make the reader want to learn more. Trial and error is how we will evaluate a particular ad's performance. What works for some in some places may not work for others in other places.
