If you have your SFI website or blog ready for submission, just go to the search engine’s like Google, Bing or Yahoo submission page and follow the instructions. It’s free and you need only to do this once.
The process after submission may take several days, weeks or months for the search engine to index your page(s). This depends on factors such as other websites pointing/linking to your site.
How to submit your SFI site to Google:
- Go to: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
- Create your Google account, if you don’t have one set up. Sign in to your Google account (i.e. Gmail)
- Type in your URL, example: http://www.your SFIwebsite.com ( not your SFI Gateways).
- Enter the captcha text shown in the box
- Select “Add URL”
How to submit your SFI site to Bing:
- Go to: http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx
- Type in your URL, example: http://www.your SFIwebsite.com ( not your SFI Gateways).
- Enter the captcha text shown in the box
- Select “Submit URL”
How to submit your SFI site to Yahoo:
- Go to: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
- Click on “Submit Your Site for Free”
- You will be redirected to Bing. Follow the on-screen instructions for submitting your URL.
Beware about submitting your SFI site using automated submission program: Search engines like Google may consider it a spam attempts and may disapprove your site.
