There are those that will tell you that the new affiliate gets plenty of emails as it is, but none of those are going to be personalized emails.
It is up to you and the affiliates co-sponsor to put the personal side of SFI to your new affiliate. SFI prides itself on giving personal service by way of the sponsors and co-sponsors, so you need to to be the person to put that personal face to your affiliates.
Your affiliates need to know that there is someone they can go to if they have any problems. You are more likely to end up with more active affiliates if you show a personal interest in their well being and their understanding of the program they have joined.
You can use the welcome letter that is available in SFI or you can write your own. Personally I would advise writing your own letter on the lines of the SFI model.
