This question makes me think of the saying my dad always told me: 'You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink'.
I find the best way to handle these situations is to leave this question alone. When they bring it up give them the link for 'about us'. It tells them everything that's true about SFI. It's now their turn to chose whether they are going to believe it or not. Some people don't believe anything is true or good after they have been hurt and it takes time and patience to guide them into helping them believe in 'good' again.

Show them by your actions that it actually works! Because it can. This company is like that story about the turtle and the rabbit. Slow and steady not only wins the race; it has the ability to build strength, integrity, and determination so that when you gain the convenience of wealth you have what it takes to keep it as well (for as long as you choose to live and keep what you learned). If you have the money you can buy your PSA's, traffic, etc. but if you don't you get to start out from 'scratch' and learn how to do it by doing it. If something doesn't work, try it a different way or try something else. That will give you something no one else will ever have the privilege of doing; learning by learning and you will make a MUCH better teacher because of it. You will know what works, what doesn't; which methods will last, which ones won't, and which ones that are a slow start, but will with time become your best advertising method and bring you an incredibly strong income. It's worth the wait if in the end it will bring in a strong income.
