My approach to this situation is to say to the "previouly burned" person:
"Yes, that happened to me too. I know what you mean. Wouldn't it be good to see something that does not work like all those others?"
If the reply is "No!" I do not probe further.
I just wait to see who speaks next.
If the prospect shows any interest at all in looking at something different then I proceed:
"Well I found something that will let you take a look at the whole business and learn the entire system for a whole year if you want. It took me (xxxx) days before I could make a decision and it never cost me a penny during that time."
Then I quit talking because I know if the person has any interest at all, at that time, he or she will ask another question. Or it may be a few days later.
Just keep your ears open for that next question. When it comes along, you know you have broken the ice.
