I would say, there would be a pro and cons...as the answer.
Advantages for integrating would be;
1) Cheaper and easier: If you are buying your own domain, to have both SFI and
TripleClicks together will be a better option. It will be cheaper and easier to
establish and promote your products and Company in one website. It will benefits
your customers too, where finding out all the facts about SFI and TripleClicks, done
at the same site.
2) Search Engines Optimization: Google will optimize those rich contents blogs/website.
By having both, mean you have the advantage of writing more contents and products
info. Current trend of customers, would prefer to browse a website and would expect
a related blog(s) written in the same site(s).
The slight disadvantages of having separate website/blogs could be, time you have to spend in writing your contents, adding and updating them. Customers will expect a correct, precise, and latest info., about the company or products you are promoting. Its not an easy tasks to maintain and update two separate websites.
To conclude (in general): For most companies, having their blog fully integrated into their main websites is the best option i.e. for your visitors, for your SEO and for your leadership positioning. But, there are some special cases where having a separate blog is your right choice.
