I would like to answer your question by telling you about my personal experience as affiliate.
I think that will depend on you as individual. Some affiliates have no other income and they will have to tap into every opportunity SFI offers and put in a full day like they would do at the office.
Others, like me, have a day job and can not put in as much time as I would like to. When I first joined I set my goals impossibly high and was disappointed. I also did not have fun.
Instead of giving up I hit the breaks and set more realistic goals for myself. I also realized that I have to be patient with myself and the process if I want to succeed.
I looked at what I am good at and concentrated on that but at the same time I looked for ways to overcome my weaknesses by learning from others, going over the lessons SFI teaches us and by experimenting with tools until I find what is working for me.
It also helps that I have an awesome sponsor - I asked her so many questions that I was worried she will get angry with me - but she did not and she helped me by sharing her knowledge and experience.
I am not yet where I want to be - but I can see my progress and more importantly - I am learning and having fun.
Don't give up - find what is working for you and go for it.
Good luck
