As one who has been in several similar businesses in the past, I believe that there is only one personal characteristic that is really important.
Tenacity.
The ability to stick with the business and do what it takes to succeed for as long as it takes. The ability to do some action in the business every day regardless of what is happening in ones personal life. It takes but a few minutes to log on and do the basics. On good days do more, on bad days still do the basics.
The ability to make a commitment for a period of time, and stick to it.
That is Tenacity and that is how you will succeed
