To talk to people about SFI can be difficult no doubt, especially when you're the quiet type. However, it doesn't have to be like that. When talking about SFI I personally find it easier to communicate my message out by talking about SFI like having friendly and fun conversations with friends. It's like you saw a movie that struck your interest and you can't help it, but talk about it with people you know.
Another effective technique that you may find helpful is targeting their emotions. First find out what do they need or want. You need to find what kind of problem(s) they may have that you can use SFI as a solution with. Here are some sample reasons that are attached with emotions:
With the recession and people losing their jobs I'm sure there's no shortage of people looking for something that SFI can provide (jobs).
Most baby boomers are retiring with not enough money to realistically retire on SFI would be perfect solution.
People in the x-generation category most likely don't want some boss telling them what to do, when to do it, how much they earn, they basically don't want someone to control them.
You can use these emotionally charged reasons to strike a conversation literally with anyone at any given time. But you will need to listen to them first and probe on which reason to plug into the conversation.
