It is difficult to say what the common mistakes are since what might not work for you could work for me and other way around.
But let me present my view (not as a priority list)
1. Frustration - to be avoided. I remember the excitement with new PSA registering and then a huge disappointment when they do did not move at all. Get over it and keep working.
2. Learning from mistakes - If something is not working check why it is so, and then find a new way. If your downline is not growing or they are not responsive check if it is up to you. Your advertising or communication methods to be reviewed.
3. Lack of empathy - Very often sponsors tend to neglect the fact that their downline is diverse and everyone has different, motives, fears and attitudes. Sponsor needs to be responsive to all these.
4. Quantity - We are aware that more the signups the more chances that some will work. But be aware that it is sometimes difficult to handle.
5. Being pushy - Sometimes sponsors put a pressure on PSA by contacting them too often so affiliates might not like it or would start questioning the real motives behind.
6. Doing things for PSAs - you should teach them how to fish and not giving them fish.
Probably there are more but this is my humble contribution.
