There are many factors that entice people to join - it's free, you can make money, you can sell your stuff, you can bid on auctions and win things for ridiculously low prices!
It all goes back to knowing your audience. If you actually do know a potential affiliate, like a relative or friend, you will want to promote the parts of SFI that they may be interested in.
If a friend is bemoaning the clutter in her home, you can help her to sell it by introducing her to TripleClicks. If your brother wants a new laptop and loves to gamble, buy him some TCredits and show him a Pricebender's Auction. If your Great Aunt Hilda wants to retire in the next ten years, introduce her to the whole SFI program and help her to succeed!
If you are advertising to the masses, then you have to make an educated guess about what would interest your potential affiliates. If you are advertising online, what type of site are you advertising on? If it is a classified listing in a 'professional' type of online site, you will want to promote SFI as the true business it is.
If you are advertising to a site for stay-at-home mom's or dad's you will want to promote SFI as a business, but one that can be done in their spare time (believe me - these people don't have much spare time!)
The same goes for off-line advertising. Use one of the fantastic flyers available that informs about TripleClicks or SFI as a part-time business on a bulletin board in the local corner market. Use the marketing materials from the Marketing Center when you go to job fairs, focusing on an affiliate's ability to make a living with SFI.
By using the available materials and even making some of your own (business cards with your name and information on it, Gift Certificate holders with a TC Gift Certificate inside of it with not only your information but more information about the SFI/TripleClicks/Pricebenders opportunities) you will be able to target potential PSA's that you will soon add to your list.
