Generally, the purpose of any advertisement is to attract potential buyers out of a crowd, and introduce to them your product or service. A 'good' ad is usually one that generates a lot of well qualified leads with minimal expense.

Have a look through the various ad types, and see what might work for you. Select something appropriate, and start marketing with it.
Next, pick a different ad, and do the same marketing with it.
Compare the results.
Once you've done your first split-test, you can start thinking about why your market responded, and what might get them to respond better. Make a few changes to your ads, and run the new versions.
