If you have at least one affiliate below yu, you can be a leader. You might have recruited the individual personally, (PSA) or you have been given that person (CSA) by virtue of your status – EA2. Since teams usually need someone to lead they must have principled leadership. You must be that individual!
Therefore, the key is in maintaining your status each month so that you will always have affiliates below you. Then strive to maintain them thereby, remaining a team leader – regardless of he level – BTL, STL, GTL or PTL.
To maintain that position, communication is the key. With their help, create inspiring goals that fire the imagination. These clearly defined goals, once known, should allow them to operate in a manner that produces results. Try to build enthusiasm and help them to progress.
Encourage a collaborative climate of trust through honest, open, respectful and consistent communication. Team members must know what is expected of them individually and collectively.
Celebrate team successes publicly. Give everyone the same reward. Put team member names in a drawing for company merchandise and gift certificates. Include their name in your blog or leadership page in bold letters!
Be a great, strong, dynamic productive, leader and they will emulate you. Let's all enjoy SFI!
