As always, honesty is the best policy.
If you embellish your income from SFI not only will your friends and family never join SFI (or they will drop out if they are already enrolled) but they will lose all trust in you.
If you haven't started having a good income yet, it would be best to focus on the parts of SFI that might interest them the most. If someone likes eBay or to go to garage sales, or better yet, wants to have a garage sale of their own, tell them about TripleClicks.
Focus on the ability to sell their unwanted items inexpensively and easily - better than a garage sale because the customers are from all over the world, not just the neighborhood! Or, let them know about all the different things they can buy on TC for very little money. Send them some gift certificates (BEFORE they join!), you can give them up to 3 which gives them $36 to spend and only costs you about 3 bucks. You will also get points for this so it's a win-win situation.
If someone likes the auctions (or likes to gamble) show them a Pricebender's auction. Share the results of a recent "Wow" auction. That should be all that is needed to get their interest.
If a relative is nearing retirement or has a desire to have his/her own business, then you can casually mention that you know a way for them to get to their goal. You can talk about your business and how you expect to have a 2nd income in a year or so or will be able to retire in the next 5 years. Anyone would want to know more about that.
I think the important thing is not to use a lot of pressure - nobody likes that and will make them distrust what you are 'selling'.
Like SFI itself, getting the curiosity going and the trust in you in place will take time. Once you get that far, it's not far until they join and are pretty soon thanking you for this wonderful opportunity!
