I would say 'yes'.
Just referring an ECA will probably get you nowhere because a lot of people are still new to online business - most of them won't know how to upload a product. And even if they do, if they don't understand the importance of advertising online, you will not earn more than the initial 100 Action VP that you got when they uploaded the first product.
It would be great if you know your ECAs personally. Then they would not hesitate to tell you what they need help with. The difficulties they might have:
- registering the ECA
- uploading products
- writing good product descriptions
- what to write in their Refund Policy
- calculating the Shipment costs
- sending the product and filling in the order
- cash-out related questions
It seems all straightforward to you and me, but it's not for people who don't have much online experience. So, when you invite them to the world of e-commerce, they expect a detailed tour. Be a great guide, and they won't give up on TripleClicks. And if they don't, you will earn commissions for life!
It would be best to sit with them over coffee and help them face-to-face. If they live to far away, and you referred them online, you can give instructions via email or How to Youtube videos (yours or somebody else's).
And don't worry, once they have understood how it's done, they won't need you any more, and you can help some new ECAs of yours.
