I had been a Sales Manager for an electrical Appliance Importer and the company had a difficult time as the economy was just opening and television was a new thing for us in the early '80s. As Sales Manager, I got organized a Sales Workshop comprising my sales field staff and showroom staff. We had a brain storming session and outcome was that the Sales Division would inform the Service Department of all TV sales. The Service Dept. would then allocate one service personnel to accompany the delivery, install and program the unit free of charge, to the customers satisfaction.
Most of our competitors only sold the units and their customers had to install it themselves, while our customers had nothing to worry about. Our sales grew and it came to a point that competitors had to follow suit.
The point here is, if you have sponsored ECA, it is customary to provide assistance (after sales service). You can walk them through the process of listing their products, shipping charges and whatever assistance they require. If possible, visit them and personally assist them, that is if they are living in close proximity to you. You can also call them if from your own country, otherwise through email.
