In my view it is important to keep the following points in mind when helping affiliates move forward:-
1. Ensure that you do not offer financial support to the affiliate because this can get the affiliate to become dependent on the sponsor; it will be become a complicated issue and likely to create friction later on between the Sponsor and the affiliate;
2. The purpose of the SFI business is to get as many affiliates to work independently as possible, each one to expand his/her business and in this respect providing moral support or incentives towards helping affiliates achieve their goals is not wrong-however this support should not be interpreted or misconstrued by the affiliates as an ongoing reward or one that must be offered every month.
3. It is useful to have frequent brainstorming sessions on how to expand the business and this is highly beneficial towards the growth of the team; this will be an ongoing exercise and should be a regular feature especially if the affiliates are in the same country!
4. How much of time you spend on your affiliates will depend on the sponsor's commitment to the business and how many hours per week are available to devote to the affiliates; if you see potential in each and every one of your affiliates to move forward then any amount of time you spend with them would still not be enough.
Generally, you will use your discretion to assess the capabilities of the affiliate and once you believe that they can handle the business independently, it would be time to focus on other affiliates and therefore give your best to each and every one!
