Sometimes I think messages to our downlines sound heavy handed. These folks are our colleagues, not our employees, so treating them with a light hand and even a little humor is important. The Affiliate E-Cards are a great resource to help us with that goal.
The E-Cards are fun and eye-catching, they demand attention in a light-hearted sort of way. Sending a tip, for instance, is less intimidating to a team member when it is delivered by a man with half a head! Congratulations seem more heart-felt when they include a banner or billboard with the recipient's face embedded in it. Also, those folks who haven't been on the site for a while will sit up and take notice when "cartoon you" begs them not to go! (What all have they missed!!??!?)
Birthday wishes, SFI Anniversary notes, and other events marked by a special card shows your team members that you care about them - not just the money they make you.
I guess that's the MOST important asset of the E-Cards, they make your relationships here at SFI more personal. When you are dealing with people primarily through words on the internet, the personal touch can be easily lost. E-Cards help us keep our communications friendly without losing our professionalism.
