I don't know about you but when a local business sends me a greeting card thanking me for my business, wishing me a happy birthday, or congratulating me on a promotion etc.. I feel cared about. I know that even if the message is prompted by a computer with a calendar application that someone somewhere took the time to get to know more about me and add value to my life.
