Hi Marlene
You are Intelligent indeed by asking this type of question.
By asking this question I would like to assume that you are already familiar with SFI's inbuilt tracking and Key-code system for organizing and tracking your advertising (i.e traffic source, conversions etc)
Personally, In order to keep track of what codes I used previously in my advertising I use Open Microsoft's Office's spread sheet. I find it a handy organizing tool in that regard.
Of course it is always VERY necessary to track your ads as an Internet marketer or Affiliate marketer especially when you are spending hard earned money as ad spend. If you decide to focus on a lesser complicated tracking system like the one provided by SFI then You can simply monitor all that through your Activity Notifications or genealogy
For reference notes and more on this kindly refer to: https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/KeyCodeTracking
and https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/HitTracking
Additionally there is a piece of software called sugarCRM. It is complete CRM solution that automates your core sales, customer service and marketing processes, with a focus on the individual. This would work great if you would like to effectively manage TripleClicks ECA's, purchases from your ECA store, etc. As an ECA using it you get powerful functionality, driving higher adoption and greater business insights.
If however you would like to venture out of SFI. There are so many great tracking systems and software that you can use to set up, organize and track ALL your advertising in one place. These systems have great inbuilt tools that can be used to keep track of and manage all of your advertising in one central location(your account) at a couple clicks.
Having said that one of the best and most popular one's I have seen being used by many marketers is hypertracker
For a small monthly fee this powerful ad and tracking manager can help you effectively manage all of your Ad work in one place. With this tool you could even split test your advertising to see which landing/opt-in or squeeze page is converting the best. Your own website with an autoresponder would help you leverage this tool better
If you have a Wordpress website you could try using the WP-plugin called WP-tracker to help you set up, organize and track your advertising in one place. I use it my self and have found it to be very effective. It's cost effective (one time fee). After purchase simply upload the file through the Wordpress admin area and then click on activate button and you are good to go. It tracks everything from geography, IP addresses, uniques, conversions etc
If you are a Facebook advertiser, a great Facebook tracking software called Fb ad software will give you a centralized tracking platform for all your social tracking needs. The other piece is called qwaya which is equally great.
Others are acqusio which can help you automatically encode all of your Facebook ads created. You can effectively track the performance all of your ads down to the specific audience segment and variables you have selected.
In conclusion, at the end of the day it's all going to boil back to tracking tools and which ones work the best, to set up, organize and track all your Advertising in one place for optimal results plus how much you are willing to spend as budget for these tools. So the choice is really up to you. If you are tight look for the one's with a one time fee for starters.
