This question needs some background because I guess many affiliates are not using SFI's hit tracking. So, let me start with that.
SFI has a mechanism to track the number of hits (clicks) of each advertisement you have on the Internet. Therefore it is important that when you advertise on free of paid ads to put a key code in your link. You should also take note the Website where you put your ads.
The number of times your Gateway links are clicked can be found here: https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/HitTracking or under Power Tools/Hit Tracking. This records the number of hits (clicks) to help you determine how effective your promotions are.
You need some parameters so that you can say that your promotion is effective. Here are some that you can use:
1. The number of sign-ups per raw clicks with the key code you used. Ultimately, this is what is important. We call this the conversion rate.
2. The number of clicks, meaning how many people have watched your ads. The more watchers, the more possibility of sign-ups.
With these two parameters, you can choose where to put most of your ads (investments). You will have a solid basis for your present ads (which site is better) and also any future sites where you want to try later.
A conversion of 1 percent or 1 signup per hundred hits is good.
