Communication, or getting your message across is one of the essential keys to success in SFI. Therefore, it is imperative that you communicate with both your sponsor and co-sponsor. Your sponsor should be your first line of communication. Effective communication can help you solve problems and improve the way others see you. It can also improve the way you see yourself and help to increase your self confidence.
How often would really depend on your need for assistance. In communicating, your sponsor or co-sponsor can share information that builds trust and rapport. The more you communicate with your sponsor or co-sponsor the more you will be able to communicate with your downline – guiding them or answering their questions.
How often will also depend on what you need to communicate. In SfI we are engaged in group projects where skills such as team building, decision making, media literacy and problem solving will be central to our success. Make communication with your upline your top priority.
Your many shared experiences through dialogue can help your sponsor/co sponsor to understand more clearly your situation, empathy with you and help you to find positive outcomes to what you might have considered monumental problems.
However, it is important to bear in mind that an increased quantity of communication does not increase the quality of communication. The message is the content of the interaction; therefore, it should be relatively brief and easy to understand rather than long and complex.
