Hello and thanks for asking the question.
A mentor is an experienced, trusted advisor who supports, guides and encourages you in all aspects of your career. Having a mentor can help you succeed in both your business and your SFI career.
''A mentor offers support, resources and constructive criticism. While encouraging you to develop your skills and potential, a mentor sets an example of appropriate conduct and career success''. With a mentor, you establish a relationship and make a commitment. If you need specific, short-term help, such as improving your public advertisment skills, duplicating skills and more.

3. His/her SFI badges, it show how active he/she has been and how well you can be enncouraged.
4. Look out for his/her tips, it should include sentence that points towards mentoring younger or newer affiliates.
5. He/she must be ready to mentor annyone, and you must be ready to respect him/her.
I hope this helps. Thanks
