I have read a lot of answers and would like to start with what is NOT a solution:
- "Advertise in right places." I am quite familiar with the world of elite PTC-s, Traffic Exchanges and Mailers and can assure you that even the best PTC-s and Pro Only TE-s do advertise scam. The best example is the infamous Paypal trick "turning your Paypal into ATM". You sell there the trick itself, so this is a classic pyramid scheme. Still, net is full of this rubbish, including elite and pro sites too. So forget the "right place" concept.
- "Explain them BEFORE they sign up SFI is not an overnight scheme." How can you do this advertising online? If you write a novel in mailer, they may still open your link for credits, but be sure they won't read a word from your composition. Or you mean we should use warm market only? Do you know that warm market is less efficient than cold according to some specialists? It is due potential affiliates know or see/hear you personally and either don't take you seriously, or sign up just to make you a favor, with no personal interest at all.
So the right answer seems to be:
- include some crucial points in your ads: no overnight riches, free to join and run, some impressive figures, but be brief!
- advertise everywhere you feel comfortable and the more the better - it is really game of numbers, as some of you already pointed out!
