constructive criticism. So unless they remove themselves you still have the opportunity to change the way you deal with them.
One thing you can do is filter them out when you send regular genealogy e-mails and only e-mail them when they ask you for help. If there's another problem or if they've specified a certain thing when they rated you, then try to avoid doing that again.
Sometimes we get a poor rating if we're doing what SFI already does. For instance talking about setting up a standing order. When we do that and then SFI sends another email that says the same thing, we're coming across as someone who is in it for the money. Overkill is always an issue. So in the future just try not to bring it up.
Whatever the problem is, you can fix it by just sending out encouragement and motivation. Tell a good story, and don't send so many e-mails that it becomes a problem. Once or twice a week is plenty.
And once they've become an EA a couple of times, it's time to let them go by themselves for a while and other than recognizing their achievements and cheering them on, we can relax with the emails and start using our filters for the ones who really need the help.
