You have no idea who can become part of your team. It could be a person who has the best leadership and business qualities but, until joining SFI, has not yet had the opportunity to display or develop them.
Unfortunately people (sponsors) become disappointed when sign-ups don't perform as they themselves have responded to the SFI opportunity. We must, however, keep in mind that not all people are the same and not everyone sees a successful future for themselves in SFI.
Even in offline network marketing businesses, you will be advised/encouraged to go for the numbers because you do not know what qualities are lying dormant in someone else. Don't be misled by approaching only people you know - often they cause bigger disappointment than people unknown to you when they become part of your team/business. In my opinion it is sometimes easier (safer?) to build a business relationship with someone whom you do not know rather than to try and maintain a personal relationship with someone who you have tried to involve in business. I have heard of various instances where good friends who were involved in business together lost their friendship because of expectations that were not met in the business relationship.
