1. You need to have a website or blog of your own.
2. An autoresponder helps and allows you to send out an informative newsletter. You can get one free to get started from Mail Chimp. RSS is a great secondary lead capture mechanism lending favor to the regular blog.
3. Switch from advertising to informing as the tone of your marketing. Instead of saying "Start Your Home Business" use subjects like "Why might a home business may be right for you?". The educate people on the qualities of a home business.
4. Be sure you are teaching reality and leaving out Hype. Don't over stress free, or promise no work or little work, don't say in an hour a day etc.. You know these things are not true and they will only lead to recruits who are looking for what is promised.
5. When you gain a qualified recruit enforce the positive message that their hard work will be rewarded and make sure they have access to your newsletter and blog or training center.
You will find in the shift from hype and flash that you will see fewer total recruits but a higher number of those recruits will be engaged in their business and work hard to succeed.
