Here's what I recommend:
1. First, make sure you're marketing the opportunity realistically. It is 100% possible to replace a full-time income with SFI in a year or less - and there's no problem with marketing the business as such a replacement. However...keep in mind that many people may have far less lofty goals. In fact, most looking for a home business are seeking something akin to Avon, Thirty One, etc....an income stream of $500 - $2,000 each month. For these people, considering a full-time income replacement just seems too unrealistic right now. It's something they'll open their minds to later, but not yet. So market to those looking for supplemental income - not 100% full-time income replacement.
2. Second, be realistic about your own time and financial investments. SFI is a business, just like any other network marketing, affiliate marketing, or "real" business. There is work that needs to be done, on the part of each business owner. One advantage we have is the opportunity to put in less work than our traditional business peers because the SFI system gives us so much support - but we still work hard and invest money in growing our businesses. I have spent at least 2 hours per day on my SFI business since joining, and you may likely be doing the same. Make sure your prospects know this up-front. There is a real commitment involved - SFI isn't a get rich quick scheme (in fact, it's not a scheme at all!).
3. Third, leading by example works great! Show your downline members and your prospects the steps you are taking to grow your own business. Let them "walk a day in your shoes" ... they'll gain a better appreciation for what's involved in running a business with SFI.
So, to recap....it's great to share stories of wealth and success, but make sure your downline members and prospects are also aware of the real commitment and hard work that goes into success with SFI.
Hope this helps!
