Besides the requirement to qualify, as team leader, what is expected of me in becoming a team leader is to provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to my team for the purpose of achieving aligned goals.
As a team leader, I'm expected to monitor the quantitative and qualitative results that are to be achieved.
But in the other side the team membership would be expected also to provide support to me as team leader and other team members in achieving the team's goals.
As a team leader, I'm expected to listen constructively to the membership and my responsibilities include team building and ensuring teamwork.
As a team leader, I have to lead by example and not by being a commander!
