I think you can use any business as an example. Ask them if they can name just ONE business that does not invest in their business. The computer you are using required an investment from the company to make, distribute and sell it. every item you use or consume has been invested in. EVERY ONE OF THEM. There is NO BUSINESS that does not invest in itself to build it bigger. So why would you be expected to build a successful business without investing time and money into it? The reality is that you cant unless you want to build a business at a snails pace, or just do a business for a hobby. Using this analogy should get the point across. Hope this helps you.
