There would be several ways one could offer encouragement. I think the biggest selling point to them would be the sheer numbers of SFI affiliates and TripleClicks members.
I would invite them to review the SFI site, especially the "Growth" tab. New members are joining every 20-30 seconds! That's a new potential set of customer's eyes every 20-30 seconds, as well as being another person that may connect with that ECA and help promote their products as an affiliate. It would also help to remind the ECA that there are now over 2 Million TripleClicks members...so literally millions of potential customers!
They say "the proof is in the pudding", so another helpful idea would be to connect that ECA with other ECA's who are having success with their businesses, and share results and ideas. Remind them of the benefits of selling their items through the ECA program versus other online stores which can have high seller's fees, and no affiliates working "for" them to help promote their products.
Finally, you could offer to personally help promote their products by sharing your personal links to their store, a win-win situation for all! Remind the ECA's that there is no risk involved, it's free to list...so the only thing they would lose by not being active is...SALES!
