In SFI, we have levels like BTL, STL, GTL,and PTL. But believe me, even if you are not one of these, so long as you have PSAs and CSAs allotted to you i.e you have an active downline and you are expected to inform, motivate and guide them to perform certain desired objectives, you are a "Team Leader".
Now let me share something with you ; I was a Team Leader for the past 30 odd years in financial institutions, from middle level to top level, leading teams of 10 to 1500, in different roles and under different working environments. When I operated in this situation, my "Team" was comprised of real flesh-and-blood people, whom I saw almost everyday, interacted with them everyday, had the authority to hire and fire them, reward and punish them for their performance or lack of it. I had developed a working "equation" with most of them, as they had with me. That was the real world.
But SFI is a different ball-game. I operate here in the "virtual" world. The members in my downline are like "ghosts", although I know they are real people ! I don't get to see or meet them; I hardly know anything about their background, their skills and attitudes, their aspirations and frustrations, the enabling or impedeing factors impacting on their performance. I don't get make the rules nor call the shots when it comes to making them even log-in everyday !
So let us not kid ourselves. We have some insuperable constraints here in exercising leadership. The stardard lectures about leadership qualities and skills are irrelevant here. SFI is basically meant for self-motivating and self-propelling go-getters.
So ,go get yourself a band of such dedicated people as your own PSAs, a handful will do, and then you are in business for life. Worry more about "duplication" and not so much about "leadership".
Hope this helps. Good luck & God speed !
