Communication can make or break any relationship whether business or otherwise.It is what separates successful marketers from the 98% that fail online. In lesson 4 of the Launch pad communication is emphasized as a great recipe of good duplication success.
OK, so HOW do you communicate with your affiliates? How do you make sure they know you are out there and available to assist them?
SFI offers some Great Tips
a) Set Up a greeting and a welcome letter to your CSA introducing yourself as their new Cosponsor.
b)Next, you'll want to develop some form of regular outgoing communications. SFI recommends a weekly or bi-weekly e-mail. Make use of all the communication tools (TM, Stream Tab, Genealogy etc) available in SFI to make this work effectively.
c)Build Trust
How? By showing genuine concern to help your CSA. This principle of touch a heart before you ask for a hand has never failed. I personally have used this principle of leadership and have seen positive results
d) Run Contests and Offer Incentives
I received a couple of CSA previously that had been in the business for quite some time but were very reluctant to move beyond being just an Affiliate. These guys were logging in daily faithfully but never motivated for some reason to move up the ranks. I decided to ran a contest-that for anyone who makes it to EA every month gets free 10 PSA. It did the trick. I awoke some sleeping giants and they began to get more involved and communicate more frequently with me. It also helped me determine who was really serious about their business vs the Tyre Kickers
e) Always Share Best Success Tips
It's unfortunate many Leaders are found wanting in this area. Some leaders regrettably think that by sharing good information for example about good places to advertise and how to Success Tips, their Down line will out compete them. Shikes! That is so wrong. 'Give and it shall be given back to you'. 'For whatsoever shall a man sow that also shall he reap.' 'Whatever goes around comes around.' Go on and bless your Affiliates and see if the reward trickle back.
f) Lead by example.
Practice what you preach. Set high standards for yourself first then achieve them. Let your progress be visible to your down line or any other affiliate through the badges you accumulate on your wall. Most likely they too will be motivated to want to get there. Eagles always fly with the eagles and not turkeys or chickens. Don't push them to do what you haven't or can't do.
g) Don't Show selfish Motives
That means pushing your Affiliates to get a SO, purchase, purchase and purchase.... It just doesn't work. Matter of fact you might just kill a very good CSA or lose him/her to someone else. Be ethical and original and show some empathy.
Lastly, having done all you can to help your Inactive CSA and there is still no response from them. "Follow the Pareto principle" or the 80/20 rule that says "use the 20% to give you an 80%. In other words Work with the Workers. Give your workers your best support and help and see yourself reach for the skies.
