There are some basic tenets when it comes to holding a contest.
1. Simple to understand
2. Make sure there is value proposition for the associates
3. Honest communication.
4. Give sufficient time for the contest
5. Help associates if they ares struggling, Financially or otherwise.
Needless to say the contest should have compelling proposition for the associate to respond. Additionally, after having held the first contest we can try to stratify our associate base into :
1. Associate who are active and interested.
2. Associates who are fairly active but no aggressive enough.
3. Associates who are not active.
Our contests can vary based on the stratification. The first category can be easily attracted. The second category can be attracted by crafting some smart contests which will make them to embrace and participate. It is the third category which is the toughest. Have some aggressive targeted communication and try to make them active.
Having talked about the strategies, it is important to make sure that the one' s which are performing should get the maximum benefit from the contest.
