Good question. We must consider different aspects and pros & cons before we reach an answer for the above question. If anyone plan to sell something at TripleClicks must consider the following parameters besides the price of the products.
01.The products must be light in weight, easy to handle and as small as possible. If we choose products of the above category we can reduce the packing and shipping charges considerably.
02. Do not select very low cost products; for example, costs less than US $5. It's easy to sell such items frequently. But as your business grows it's ended up as a burden to handle such orders because of the very low margin. The personnel and time to spend to ship the product is same as the costly products which gives you a nice profit.
03. If you need to sell something frequently, consider products with a price tag between US $5 and $200. Lesser than that will sell more but the margin will be low. Costly items sell rarely so you can't sustain your business by selling only the costly items. A mix of both low cost and high cost products are an ideal choice.
04. Avoid bulky and heavy items as much as possible. It's difficult to handle, packing and shipping. Always remember that the shipping charges are calculated considering the size of the shipment, weight of the shipment and the destination besides the basic price/tariff of the different logistics providers.
05. Always concentrate on products that sell throughout the year. Do not concentrate on seasonal products such as Halloween costumes, Christmas decorations, etc. You may get orders for these items only in the seasons. Moreover, if product delivery delayed due to any reasons beyond your control, customer complaint will pile up and adversely affect your reputation and ultimately your business.
06. Avoid perishable, temperature sensitive and fragile items. It may get spoiled or damaged when reaching the destination.
07. Avoid counterfeit products and cheap imitations of branded products. Sell only quality products in your store. The price tag must be competitive.
08. Do not concentrate only on niche products. Include variety products for sale because, customers visiting your store are from different countries and have varied interests.
09. Keep an eye on the competition. Fix your price reasonably. sell only quality products. Build reputation.
