I think the best items to sell at TripleClicks is actually based on and determined by how profit-oriented you are.
Usually if one wants to make much profit or gain, it is expected that He/She sells more expensive and even valuable items. But this also depends on the kind of customers you are expecting to sell to. If there are more members who probably have more than enough funds, then they'd probably buy those expensive items and still earn those CVs. Some just like such expensive products because they can afford such uncountable times in more years to come.
On the other hand, members who just love to spend cautiously or be economical mostly buy cheap things and also to save on such items.
So you can see that it really depends on your projection as to what kind of customers am I expecting to sell to: whether they are the ones who spend much or less.
Someone once said "...The financial status of your customers determine the kind of products you provide for them. If they are financially buoyant, expect more sales, but if not then expect less..."
