Firstly you need to take note of the businesses that are NOT accepted by SFI Policy.Any business in any of these categories: Porn, Adult content, Gambling or any products that are or promote racism and discrimination will never be considered.
There are two ways to get ECA'S into SFI.
1. ONLINE
The online ECA prospect is one with an existing store but still open to new proposals and avenues of marketing and selling their products.
To find these people online consider doing some SEO search on search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo to find E-businesses with a website.
These are some of the qualities I look out for when searching around:
a)They Have a product line that includes items that have a daily usable use e.g Lotions, toothpaste, Toiletry etc
b)Has a product line that motivates Affiliates to want to advertise.If the product has an attractive price tag and good commissions and residuals
c)I also consider a potential prospect one who has a good proven track record. I get to know this by doing my own due diligence first. Has his/her business stood the test of time over the economic turmoils in the past?
d)One other question I ask is whether they are willing to ship overseas and whether they provide shipment Globally. I was shocked to realize that some don't. They only ship locally.
e)I find if they are willing to spend money on advertising even if this not a very big deal since we have an army of affiliates ready to advertise their products. The other reason why I do this is to gauge the prospect to see how serious they are about promoting their business. Be careful how you approach this point when talking with you ECA prospect.
f)It's great to work with businesses whose owners still not only own them but are passionate and open to new avenues of advertising platforms to increase sales. this is were you come in.
g)You would probably do well or score better when you approach the small to medium enterprises. The big guys have a lot of advertising money to blow away and may take your proposal very reluctantly. Look out for small businesses world wide with great products and are looking for affiliates or partnerships to expand.
h)Offer these businesses HELP with an existing online presence with little or no idea about HOW to market their products or expand by using the referral guidelines outlined in SFI here: http://www.tripleclicks.com/ECA/Guidelines.php
OFFLINE
There are so many potential and prospective ECA'S locally that have no idea what running a website and selling online is all about. Your duty is approach them and offer to help them start one and start selling online at NO COST to them at all.
Sell the benefits benefits benefits to the prospect to attract them.
The advantage with this direct approach is that the prospect gets to engage with you on a face to face basis. This is one of my favorite methods as the results are delivered faster.
TIP: Make this prospect want to be SO IN that they will think if you walk out of the room or meeting place without them saying Yes to your proposal they have lost the deal of a life time. You do this by raising their Impulse.
By doing all of the above you produce a bunch of Triple clicks orders putting you in a good position as an ECA referrer to earn commissions and royalties on sales made for life
It's a win win for both the biz owner and you since he gets free website, advertising and customer care support plus dividend from his/her sales
Lastly if however your focus is on selling to SFI affiliates then focus on products that will help them improve on their SFI businesses.
