With your entire team, once a day or more would probably be too much. However, some of your team members might require daily help. So you will have to adjust it based on the current situation.
Every now and then, you might find some information that is useful, so you want to let your affiliates know about it. But you may have already sent them a message yesterday, and maybe even a few this week. Consider planning your messages out if you feel that you have a lot to say.
Create simple text files and put dates on them as to when you want to send them. Try to put them at least two days apart, maybe even three.
If you just have a few, or one, affiliate that needs constant contact, give it to them without smothering them. Check in every few days and make sure that they don't have any questions. Let them know they can message you anytime. Even after you tell some to message you anytime, they might still wait for you to contact them.
These affiliates likely already know the answer, but just want to confirm that what they know is correct.
Another thing that is necessary is regular encouragement. Some affiliates will not have any trouble doing this day in and day out, but others may need to be reminded of why they are here. If this is the case, you can't contact them enough.
Overall, it has to be based on your affiliates. Observe them and try to figure out what they need in order for you to assist them best.
