How do you handle being rejected over and over again? No one likes being rejected but rejection is a part of the process. If you don't ask or don't try are you ever going to succeed at anything? Of course not. I thought of the Inventor, Thomas Edison. There are different schools of thought as to how many times Edison failed before successfully inventing the light bulb. Some say he tried 10,000 times, others say it was 3,000 times or 1,000 times. The bottom line is Edison tried and tried until he got it right.
It was stated that a reporter asked Edison about all his failures. Edison simply stated, 'It just meant that I was that many times closer to success.' What a splendid attitude to have.
The best way I've found to handle rejection is to keep my "WHY" before me. I known why I am in this business, what I want from it and I keep that ever before me. I keep a positive mental attitude and I believe in myself and my ability to succeed. You don't fail until you quit...Edison is proof that winners don't quit no matter how many times they fail at a particular task. Each rejection gives you an opportunity to sharpen your skills and approach. Think of it as growth and progress. Everything we do to move our business forward is progress and rejection is unfortunately a part of the path towards being a successful individual. All successful people had to cross "the bridge of REJECTION." it's inevitable.
