Good question, and very difficult to answer depending on the relationship with your family member.
The first thing to remember is that most family members will be critical of your involvement and may even be a serious deterrent to YOUR vision and dreams. Take this into consideration before asking them to be involved in YOUR business.
On the other hand, some may jump at the opportunity. In this case you must provide support and encouragement for them to continue.
I've only been in SFI for less than a month and I've hesitated to involve a family member until I can show "actual" success and earnings.
I have been assigned many CSAs and regardless of my constant encouragement and support they are not motivated, or for whatever reason, ignore communications and attempts to help them.
The bottom line. Understand a family member's needs, motivations and desires. You may be able to get them to sign up, but if they aren't willing to work at it you are simply wasting your time.
