I believe that the most effective promotion/incentive is a reassignment of psa's for maintaining EA2 status. This is most effective where you have a worker in another country who might appreciate having some affiliates in their own country to work with. This gives them a chance to build their own team and become more successful themselves.
Teach a man to fish as they say. Gift certificates and other compensation is fine, but temporary and can lull an affiliate into doing nothing until they get more free stuff. Then they never become serious about their own business. An exception to this would be someone who is bringing you a lot of commissions. You're making enough from their efforts to reward them as a real worker!
Although SFI does not require purchases or investment of cash into the business, we all know how difficult it is to build a business with no investment. For most, they will become discouraged early and will not advance. Truth is that with the exception of someone who is truly broke, most affiliates do have some cash they can invest in the program. Many hold back, because they don't view the opportunity as a viable business and don't want to risk even a penny. Don't waste a lot of time with those who refuse to work at the business. Be supportive for sure but work with the workers and you both win!
