This is a great question. I suggest honesty, and would reply with the following:
"Sir, (or ma'am), owning a business is not for everyone. If you are someone that dreams of having their own business, this is a great opportunity because of the free start. As you begin to learn your business through the abundance of training and support, you decide what level of time and money to invest."
We can never tell someone what they SHOULD do because if they fail, who do you think they will blame? That's right, it will be you.
We CAN tell them about the great potential that the business they build will be there for them long after they reach their "retirement" years.
